Yasodhara rural municipality

Yasodhara rural municipality is located in the mid-south part of the kapilbastu district. VDCs such as Basantapur, Baidauli, Gauri, Parsohiya, Rangapur, Singhkhor, Somadiha and Titirkhi, were combined in Yasodhara rural municipality. The Rural municipality has total area of 67.56 square kilometers and is divided into 8 wards. Mayadevi rural municipality lies in the east of Yasodhara rural municipality. Similarly, this rural municipality is surrounded by Maharajganja municipality in the west, kapilbastu municipality in the north and Nepal-India boarder in the south. The geography of this rural municipality includes plan fertile land. Yasodhara rural municipality has the total population of the municipality is 38952 consisting male population 19694 and female population of 19258 as of Census of Nepal 2011. There are 5413 households in Yasodhara rural municipality.

This rural municipality is situated at the middle part of Kapilvastu District. Madheshi are the major population residing in this rural municipality. Similarly, Brahaman, Muslim, Kurmi, Yadav, Pasi, Kalwar, Chamar, Mallaha, Dhobi, Chamar, etc reside in this rural municipality. Here, in this rural municipality all the seasonal corps can harvest & grow well. The major corps grows are Paddy, Wheat, Corn, Mustard, Sunflower, Peanuts, Potato etc. In these days people also engaged in harvesting many cash crops like vegetables, mushroom, livestock, etc.

Mr. Girjesh Kumar Pandey and Mrs. Kanyawati Upadhyaya are the chairman and vice chairman of the Yasodhara rural municipality. The rural municipality office is situated in Baidauli, Kapilbastu.
