Uttargaya rural municipality situates in the western part of the Rasuwa district. Uttargaya rural municipality was formed by combining then Haku (8,9), Laharepauwa (1-7 and 9), Thulogaun, Dandagaun VDCs. The Rural municipality has total area of 104.51square kilo meter and is divided into 5wards. Kalika rural municipalitylies in the east of Uttargaya rural municipality. Similarly, this rural municipality is surrounded by Dhading districtin the west, Aamachodinmo rural municipality in the north and Nuwakot district in the south.
