Tripurasundari rural Municipality situates westernpart of the Dhading district. Tripurasundari rural Municipalitywas formed by combining then Salyantar, Mulpani, Salyankot, Aginjachowk and Tripureshowr VDCs. The Rural municipality has total area of 271.23square kilo meter and is divided into 7wards. Netrawati Dabjong rural municipality and Ganga Jamuna rural municipalitylies in the east of Tripurasundari rural Municipality. Similarly, this rural municipality is surrounded by Gorkha districtin the west, Gangajamuna rural municipality in the north and Jwalamukhi rural municipality, netrawati rural municipality and Nilkantha municipalityin the south. The geography of this Rural municipality includes naturally decorated high hills mountains, and cold weather. Total population of the municipality is 22960 consisting male population 10050and female population of 12910as of Census of Nepal 2011. There are 5355households in Tripurasundari rural Municipality.

The main source of income of people of this rural municipality is agriculture, businesses, foreign employment, government job etc. Brahaman, Chhetri, Gurung, Shrestha, Tamang, Lama, Nepali, Kaami, Damai, Magar etc. resides in this rural municipality and they celebrate the festivals like Dashain, Tihar, Nauratha, Ramnawami, Teej, Buddha Purnima, Tamu Losar, Losar, Christmas Day etc. Paddy, Wheat, Corn, Ginger etc are planted in this rural municipality. Possibility of Bee farming also found in this rural municipality.

Mr. Shambhu Kumar Thapa and Mrs. Devi Kumari Pandey Burlakotiare the chairman and vice chairman of the Tripurasundari rural Municipality. The rural municipality office is situated in Salyantar, Dhading.
