Temal rural municipalitysituateseasternpart of the Kavreplanchowk district.Temal rural municipalitywas formed by combining then Sarseukharka, Samarthali, Boldephediche, Pokhari Narayansthan, Thuloparsela, Kurubas, Chapakhori, and Mechhe VDCs. The Rural municipality has total area of 89square kilo meter and is divided into 9wards. Ramechhap districtlies in the east of Temal rural municipality. Similarly, this rural municipality is surrounded by Namobudha municipalityin the west,Chaurideurali rural municipalityin the north and Rosi rural municipalityin the south. The geography of this Rural municipality includes steeply hills mountains, and cold weather. Temal rural municipality has the total population of  22716consisting male population 10583and female population of 12133as of Census of Nepal 2011. There are 4876households in Temal rural municipality.

The historical Narayan Temple, Swoyambhu and NamoBoudha stupas, Tongsomkunda, Santeshormahadev temple, etc. are the highly potential touristic destination of this rural municipality. Most of the people of this rural municipality are Buddhist followed by Hindu and Christian. Major ethnic group is Tamang followed by Brahamin, Chhetri, Newar, Dalit and marginalized group Majhi. People do agriculture, livestock farming, tourism, and Bhodhichitta farming as the major source of income.Lohasar, Buddha Jayanti, Loahsar, Dashain, Tihar, etc are the major festival of this rural municipality.

Mr. Salam Sing Tamang and Mrs. Durga Maya Tamangare the chairman and vice chairman of the Temal rural municipality. The rural municipality office is situated in Pokharinarayanstan, Kavreplanchowk.
