Sisne rural municipality is situated in the western part of the Rukum district. Then VDCs, Sisne, Pwaang, Pokhara, Rukumkot (Shova) and Shyaalapakha, were combined in Sisne rural municipality. The Rural municipality has total area of 327.12 square kilometers and is divided into 8 wards. Putha Uttaraganga rural municipality lies in the east of Sisne rural municipality. Similarly, this rural municipality is surrounded by Baphikot rural municipality, Aathabiskot and Musikot municipality in the west, Dolpa district in the north and Bhume rural municipality in the south. The geography of this rural municipality steeply and high mountain. Sisne rural municipality has the total population of the municipality is 16497 consisting male population 7890 and female population of 8607 according to the national population census of Nepal 2011.
