Shantinagar rural municipality is located in the western part of the Dang district. VDCs such as Baghamare, Shantinagar and Dhanauri, were combined in Shantinagar rural municipality. The Rural municipality has total area of 116.02 square kilometers and is divided into 7 wards. Tulsipur Sub-Metropolitian city lies in the east of Shantinagar rural municipality. Similarly, this rural municipality is surrounded by Babai rural municipality in the west, sallyan district in the north and Dangisharan rural municipality in the south. The geography of this rural municipality includes plan fertile land. Shantinagar rural municipality has the total population of the municipality is 25203 consisting male population 11595 and female population of 13608 according to the National Population census of Nepal 2011.
