Sakhuwanankar Katti Rural Municipality is situated at south-east part of Siraha district, Province number two. This Rural Municipality was established in 2073 B.S. by combining then Mauwahi, Sothiyan, Mahadev Portaha, Sakhuwankar Katti and Itharwa Rural Municipalities. This local unit is divided into five wards. This is surrounded by Laxmipur Patari Rural Municipality from west, Lahan Municipality from north, Nawarajpur and Bhagwanpur Rural Municipalis from south and Saptari district from west. This is plain land of south Nepal.

As per the census 2011, total population of This Rural Municipality is 18,558. This local unit covers total area of 32.84 kilometer square. Most of the area is covered by farming land and forest. Farming is major occupation. Hindu is major religion. This is linked with Lahan Municipality.

Mr. Kedar Nath Yadav is Chairperson and Ms. Amala Devi Yadav is Vice-chairperson of this Rural Municipality. Khourwana Chok is center of this local unit.
