Ribdikot rural municipality is situated in the southern part of the Palpa district. Adjoining areas of VDCs such as khyaha, Deurali, Khasyauli, Bhairabsthan, Kusumkhola, thimure, Palungmainadi and phek, were combined in Ribdikot rural municipality. The Rural municipality has total area of 124.55 square kilometres and is divided into 8 wards. Tansen municipality lies in the east of Ribdikot rural municipality. Similarly, this rural municipality is surrounded by Rainadevi Chhahara rural municipality in the west, Kaligandaki river in the north and Tinau rural municipality in the south. The geography of this rural municipality is composed of steep slopes and high mountain. Ribdikot rural municipality has the total population of the municipality is 18770 consisting male population 7980 and female population of 10790 according to the population census of Nepal 2011. There are 4647 households in Ribdikot rural municipality.
Magar, Brahaman, Kaami, Chhetri, Kumal, Sarki, Damai, Newar, Gharti, etc reside in this rural municipality. The main source of income of this rural municipality is agriculture, livestock, private/government job & foreign employment. Festivals like Dashain, Tihar, Magheshakranti, Ramnawami, Chaitedashain, Baishakha Purnima, Teej, Janaipurnimaetc are celebrated in this rural municipality. SarayaNaach, PhaguNaach, LakheNaach, JhyaureNaach, Deusi, Bhailoetc are cultural dance among people of this rural municipality.
Mr. Narayan Bahadur G.C and Mrs. Laxmi Khanal are the chairman and vice chairman of the Ribdikot rural municipality. The rural municipality office is situated in Khasyauli, Palpa.
