Rainadevi Chhahara rural municipality is situated in the southern part of the Palpa district. Adjoining areas of VDCs such as Siddheshor, Somadi, Bhuwan Pokhari, Chhahara, Mujhun, Juthapauwa, Baldhengadhi and Satyawati, were combined in Rainadevi Chhahara rural municipality. The Rural municipality has total area of 175.88 square kilometres and is divided into 8 wards. Ribdikot and Tinau rural municipality lies in the east of Rainadevi Chhahara rural municipality. Similarly, this rural municipality is surrounded by Arghakhachi district in the west, Gulmi district in the north and Rupandehi district in the south. The geography of this rural municipality is composed of steep slopes and high mountain. Rainadevi Chhahara rural municipality has the total population of the municipality is 26469 consisting male population 11659 and female population of 14810 according to the population census of Nepal 2011. There are 6009 households in Rainadevi Chhahara rural municipality.
Aalam Bazar, Chhahara Bazar, Jutha Bazar, Myaldhap Bazar etc are the main markets of this rural municipality. Magar, Brahaman, Kaami, Chhetri, Kumal, Sarki, Damai, Newar, Gharti, Dasnamietc reside in this rural municipality. The main source of income of this rural municipality is agriculture, livestock, private/government job & foreign employment. Festivals like Dashain, Tihar, Magheshakranti, Ramnawami, Chaitedashain, Baishakha Purnima, Teej, Janaipurnimaetc are celebrated in this rural municipality.
Mr. Ram Bahadur Karki and Mrs. Chet Kumari Thapa are the chairman and vice chairman of the Rainadevi Chhahara rural municipality. The rural municipality office is situated in Chhahara, Palpa.
