Phedikhola Rural Municipality is situated at mid-north part of Syangja district, Gandaki province. This is nearest Rural Municipality from province capital, Pokhara. This Rural Municipality was established in 2073 B.S. by combining then Bangephatke, Bhatkhola, Aarukharka and Phedikhola Village Development Committees. This touches Siddhartha highway. This is surrounded by Kaski district from north, Aandhikhola Rural Municipality from west and south and Putalibazar Municipality from west. This rural unit is divided into five wards. Local government is giving priority to tourism, agriculture and infrastructure development.

Total population of Phedikhola Rural Municipality is 12,341 involving 1,645 households as per the census 2011. It covers total area of 56.73 kilometer square. This is residence of about fourteen ethnic communities and Brahmin, Chhetri and Gurung are majority of them. Nepali language is major mother tongue. Most of the land is occupied by forest, mountain and farming area. Farming is the major occupation followed by foreign employment, service and trade. Paddy, wheat, maize and millet are major crops. This includes major pocket area of orange farming. There are number of tourism prone areas including Bhalu Mountain, Panchase height, Aarukharka durbar area and many more. Paragliding and home stay has been already started and trekking routes are being designed. This Rural Municipality is also going to start bungee jumping. Almost all people have access to electricity, highway transportation and drinking water.

Mr. Ghanashyam Subedi is Chairperson and Ms. Devi Thapa is Vice-chairperson of Phedikhola Rural Municipality. Number of elected local representatives is 27.
