The geographical area of Pathivara Yangwarak Rural Municipality is 93.76 sq km. It has a population of 13591 according to census 2011. This rural municipality has six wards. It was formed by merging six former VDCs. It is surrounded by Sirijangha in the east and north and Phungling municipality in the west and Panchthar district in the south.
The name of the rural municipality has added the popular Pathibhara devi in it. The religious tourism is the main part of economic activities of this region. Other agriculture and livestock farming are in practice. This region is home for the verities of Rhododendron, so in blooming season it has the mesmerizing beauty, and flow of internal tourist during this season is very high in this region.
The Chairperson and Vice chairperson this rural municipality are Keshar Kumar Subba and Ranamaya Gurung respectively.
