Aamachodingmo rural municipality situates in the North-west part of the Rasuwa district. Aamachodingmo rural municipalitywas formed by combining then Haku (1-7), Glyalang, Chilime, and Goljung VDCs. The Rural municipality has total area of 682.23square kilo meter and is divided into 5wards. Gosaikunda rural municipalitylies in the east of Aamachodingmo rural municipality. Similarly, this rural municipality is surrounded by Dhading district in the west, Nepal-China border in the north and Uttargaya rural municipality in the south. The geography of this Rural municipality includes naturally decorated high hills snow mountains, and cold weather. Aamachodingmo rural municipality has the total population of  5490consisting male population 2697and female population of 2793as of Census of Nepal 2011. There are 1306households in Aamachodingmo rural municipality.

This rural municipality was previously named after the famous religious and touristic place ‘Parbati Kunda’  as Parpatikunda rural municipality. Later the elected assembly changed the name as ‘Aamachodingmo’ rural municipality. 90% community of this rural municipality is Tamang, and Ghale. In tamang language ‘Aama’ mean Parbati and Chodingmo mean ‘Kunda’, a lake. People of this rural municipality do agriculture and live stock farming as the major source of income.

Mr. Buchung Tamang and Mrs. Nabina Tamangare the chairman and vice chairman of the Aamachodingmo rural municipality. The rural municipality office is situated in Goljung, Rasuwa.
