Pakaha Mainpur Rural Municipality is situated at mid-south part of Parsa district, Province number two. This Rural Municipality was established in 2073 B.S. by combining then dhore, Pakaha Mainpur, Lahrabarthakari, Surjahah and Sabaithawa Village Development Committees. This local unit is surrounded by Bindabasini Rural Municipalites from east, Indian border at south, Chhipaharmai Rural Municipality from west and Kalikamai Rural Municipality at north. This local unit is divided into five wards. Gangol Sikta river flows through this area.

Total population of this Rural Municipality is 20,717 as per the census 2011. Ward number one is most populated ward. Total area covered by this local unit is 21.26 kilometer square. Most of the land is occupied by farming area. There are about 19 ethnic groups residing under this local unit. Kurmi, Teli and Chauhan are major ethnic groups. Among Madhesi community there are number of caste and surnames. Bhojpuri is major language and Hindu is major religion. Most of the people are involved in farming. Professional farming has been also started in this area.

Mr. Vijaya Kumar Chaurasiya is Chairperson and Ms. Kusami Devi is Vice-chairperson of this Rural Municipality. Pakaha Mainpur is center of this local unit.
