Nisdi rural municipality is situated in the eastern part of the Palpa district. Adjoining areas of VDCs such as Bakamalang, sahalkot, jhiruwas, Mityaal, Galda, Archale and jyaamire, were combined in Nisdi rural municipality. The Rural municipality has total area of 194.5 square kilometres and is divided into 7 wards. Nawalparasi district lies in the east of Nisdi rural municipality. Similarly, this rural municipality is surrounded by Purbakhola and Mathagadhi rural municipality in the west, Rampur municipality and Purbakhola rural municipality in the north and Nawalparasi district in the south. The geography of this rural municipality is composed of steep slopes and high mountain. Nisdi rural municipality has the total population of the municipality is 22611 consisting male population 10215 and female population of 12396 according to the population census of Nepal 2011. There are 3891 households in Nisdi rural municipality.
This rural municipality is situated in the eastern part of Palpa District. Ethnic groups such as Magar, Brahaman, Chhetri, Newar, Thakuri, Dalit etc are residing in this rural municipality. The main source of income of this rural municipality is agriculture, livestock, private/government job & foreign employment. In these days people also engaged in harvesting many cash crops like vegetables, mushroom, livestock, etc. Festivals like Dashain, Tihar, Magheshakranti, Ramnawami, Chaitedashain, Baishakha Purnima, Teej, Janaipurnimaetc are celebrated in this rural municipality
Mrs.Mukta bahadur Saru and Mrs. Rita kumari Aryal are the chairman and vice chairman of the Nisdi rural municipality. The rural municipality office is situated in Mityaal, Palpa.
