Madi Rural Municipality is situated at east part of Kaski district, Gandaki province. This Rural Municipality was established in 2073 B.S. It combines then VDCs- Bhadaure Kalika, Namarjung, Parche, Sildujare, Thumako Danda, Bhachok, Mijure Danda, Majh Thana, Hansapur and Soumarang. This Rural Municipality is surrounded by Lamjung district from east, Pokhara Lekhnath Metropolitan city and Machhapuchhre Rural Municipality from west, Manang district from north and Pokhara Lekhanath Metropolitan city and Rupa Rural Municipality from south. This lies in mid-part of Nepal. This local unit is named after Madi river flowing through this area. This local unit is divided into 12 wards.
