Lo-Ghekar Damodar Kunda Rural Municipality is situated at mid part of Mustangi district, Gandaki province. This Rural Municipality was established in 2073 B.S. This Rural Municipality is surrounded by Manang district from east, Dolpa district from west, Lo-manthang Rural Municipality and Chinese border from north and Muktichhetra Rural Municipality from south. This local unit is divided into 5 wards. Name of this Rural Municipality is kept from Hindu major destination Damodar lake. It is largest local unit of Mustang district. It lies in Upper-Mustang part.

Population of Le-Ghekar Damodar Kunda Rural Municipality is 1,423 as per the census 2011. Ward number three is most populated ward. Most of the land is covered by forest and farming, snow, butanes, grass area, mountain rocks and residence. Among people residing here, Thakali, Dalit and Gurung are major ethnic communities.
