The geographical area of Likhupike Rural Municipality is 124.38 sq km. It has a population of 5534 according to census 2011. This rural municipality has five wards. It was formed by merging three former VDCs. It is surrounded by Solududhkunda municipality in the east and Umakund gaunpalika of Ramechhap district in the west and Solududhkunda municipality in the north and Khijidemba gaunpalika of Okhaldhunga district in the south. The headquarter of this municipality is situated in Chaulakharka.

Rivers flowing form this rural municipalities are major tributaries of Saptakoshi. The Hindu and Buddhist shrines here are of important value to devotees of those religion. Being in the Everest region, this gaunpalika has tourism potential as well.

The Chairperson and Vice chairperson this rural municipality are Dammar Bahadur Basnet and Pramila Basnet Karki respectively.
