The geographical area of Khijidemba Rural Municipality is 171.8 sq km. It has a population of 15106 according to census 2011. This rural municipality has nine wards. It was formed by merging parts of the eight former VDCs. It is surrounded by Molung Gaunpalika and Solukhumbu district in the east and Ramechhap district in the west and Solukhumbu district in the north and Likhu and Molung gaunpalika in the south. The headquarter of this municipality is situated in Khijiphalate.
Chhetri, brahmin, newar, tamang, Sherpa and sunuwar are the major castes living in this area. This located in upper hill region so snow during winter is common. People are in agriculture majorly.
The Chairperson and Vice chairperson this rural municipality are Bed Bahadur Roka and Shushila Tamang respectively.
