Khaptad Chhededaha Rural Municipality has been located at Bajura district of Sudur Pashim province. It is situated at west part of Bajura district. Its name was kept after the Khaptad National Park and Chhededaha lake which lies under this Rural Municipality. It was established in 2073 B.S. by combining then Dogadi, Gudukhit, Aatichour, Jayabageswori and Kada Village Development Committees. It is surrounded by Badimalika Municipality at east, Bajhang district at west, Goumul Rural Municipality at north and Budhiganga Rural Municipality and Achham district at south. Maximum of area lies under height hill mountains. There are 60 educational institutions under this local unit.

It is most populated Rural Municipality of Bajura district with 18,575 total populations. More than 25 ethnic groups reside in this Rural Municipality, among them 73% are Chhetri. Almost all people speak Nepali language. 135.08 kilometer square is the total area occupied by this Rural Municipality, out of which about 64% of land is occupied by forest, grass and rock area.

Agriculture, herbs collection, foreign employment and animal husbandry are major occupations of this area. Maize, potato, millet, barley are the major crops in this area.

Mr. Nar Bahadur Rawat is Chairperson and Ms. Kunti Devi Saaud is Vice-chairperson of this Rural Municipality. Ward number 5, Dogadi village is the center of this Rural Municipality. There are 37 elected representatives from this local unit in local election held in 2074 B.S.
