Khandadevi Rural Municipality situates southern part of the Ramechhap district. Khandadevi Rural Municipality was formed by combining then Rakathum, Majhuwa, Bhirpani, Pakarbas, Makadum, Gagalbhadaure, Pingkhuri, and Khandadevi VDCs. The Rural municipality has total area of 150.7 square kilo meter and is divided into 9 wards. Manthali municipality lie in the east of Khandadevi Rural municipality. Similarly, this rural municipality is surrounded by Sunapati Rural Municipality, Doramba rural municipality and Sindhuli district in west, north and south respectively. The geography of this Rural municipality includes steep hills and cold weather. The total population of the municipality is 25,761 consisting male population 11,762 and female population of 13,999 as of Census of Nepal 2011. There are 5,372households in Khandadevi rural municipality. The name of the municipality is named after the reputed religious temple ‘Khandadevi’ located in this rural municipality.

The major occupation of the people residing in Khandadevi rural municipality is agriculture and livestock. Tea and cash corps are the major agri-product of this rural municipality. People are turning traditional agriculture into the modernization. Special zones are specified by the rural municipality for the best agriculture output. The major ethnic group of this rural municipality are Brahamin, Chhetri, Tamang, etc. All the wards of rural municipality are connected with road transportation.
