The geographical area of Kepilasgadhi Rural Municipality is 191.3 sq km. It has a population of 15288 according to census 2011. This rural municipality has seven wards. It was formed by merging seven former VDCs. The head quarter of this rural municipality is situated in Baksila. It is surrounded by Tyamke Maiun and Salpa Silicho gaunpalika in the east and Aiseli kharka gaunpalika and Rupakot municipality in the west and Aiselukharka, Sothang, mahakulung gaunpalika in the north and Rupakot municipality and Tyamkemayun gaunpalika in the south.

this area has a beautiful hill that can lures the people so it has high potential for tourism development. Agriculture is the main profession of the people living here. People are in local level businesses and out for labour migration.

Ethnicity wise Rai population is high in number living here.

The Chairperson and Vice chairperson this rural municipality are Krishna Kumar Rai and Hira Kumari Ban Rai respectively.
