Kalika rural municipality situates in the southern part of the Rasuwa district. Kalika rural municipalitywas formed by combining then Dhobung, Ramche, Bhorle (1,6,8,9) and Laharepauwa (8) VDCs. The Rural municipality has total area of 192.53square kilo meter and is divided into 5wards. Naukunda rural municipalitylies in the east of Kalika rural municipality. Similarly, this rural municipality is surrounded by Uttargaya rural municipality in the west, Gosaikunda rural minicipality in the north and Nuwakot district in the south. The geography of this Rural municipality includes naturally decorated high hills snow mountains, and cold weather. Kalika rural municipality has the total population of 9421consisting male population 4486and female population of 4935 as of Census of Nepal 2011. There are 2089households in Kalika rural municipality.
The name is kept after the name of historical and religious critical Kalika Mai temple which is also called Dhaibung Chitra Kalika temple. People like Brhaman, Chhetri, Gurung, Shrestha, Tamang, Lama, Ghale etc. resides in this rural municipality. Herbal collection, agriculture, trade and livestock farming are some key economic activities of this rural municipality. People of this rural municipality celebrate the festivals like Dashain, Tihar, Loasar, Buddha Jayanti, Teej etc. This rural municipality is famous for touristic destination and its natural beauty.
