Jugal Rural Municipality situates northern part of the Sindhupalchowk district. Jugal Rural Municipality was formed by combining then Selang, Golche, Gumba, Baramchi, Hagam and Patlang VDCs. The Rural municipality has total area of 273.62 square kilo meter and is divided into 7 wards. Bhotekoshi rural municipality and Barhabishe municipality lies in the east of Jugal Rural municipality. Similarly, this rural municipality is surrounded by Panchpokhari Thanpal municipality in the west, Nepal-China boarder in the north and Balephi and Chautara Saghachowkgadhi rural municipality in the south. The geography of this Rural municipality includes naturally decorated high hills snow mountains, and cold weather. Jugal rural municipality has the total population of 19,231 consisting male population 9,581 and female population of 9,650 as of Census of Nepal 2011. There are 3,941 households in Jugal rural municipality.
