Jorayal Rural Municipality is situated at south-west part of Doti district, Sudur Paschim province. This Rural Municipality is at 60 kilometer west to district headquarter Silagadhi. This is named after the Jorayal valley situated here. This local level unit was established in 2073 B.S. by combining then Ghanteswor, Chhatiwan, Saraswatinagar, Laxminagar, Gadsera and Niroula Village Development Committees. This is surrounded by Badikedar Rural Municipality from east, Dadeldhura district from west and north and Kailali district from south. This is divided into six wards. It includes mountain and valley geography.
