Janaki rural municipality is located in the west-south part of the Banke district. Existing VDCs such as Saigaun, belbhar, Khajurakhuda, Belhari, Ganapur and Nepalganj Sub-Metropolitian city, were combined in Janaki rural municipality. The Rural municipality has total area of 63.32 square Kilometers and is divided into 6 wards. Nepalganj Sub-Metropolitian city lies in the east of Janaki rural municipality. Similarly, this rural municipality is surrounded by Khajura rural municipality in the west, Kohalpur municipality and Baijanath rural municipality in the north and Nepal-India boarder in the south. The geography of this rural municipality includes plan fertile land.
