Hupsekot Rural Municipality is situated at mid-west part of Nawalparasi district, Gandaki province. This Rural Municipality was established in 2073 B.S. It combines then Hupsekot Deurali and Dhauwadi Village Development Committees. This Rural Municipality is surrounded by Kawasoti and Devchuli Municipalities from east, Madhyabindu Municipality and Palpa district from west, Bungdikali Rural Municipality from north and Kawasoti and Madhyabindu Municipalities from south. This local unit is divided into six wards. This is named after the name of place Hupsekot. Popular Dhauwadi iron minerals are lies under this Rural Municipality.
Population of Hupsekot Rural Municipality is 25,065 with 4,588 households as per the census 2011. Population of male is 11,272 and female is 13,793. Ward number four is most populated ward.
