The geographical area of Hilihang Rural Municipality is 123.01 sq km. It has a population of 22913 according to census 2011. This rural municipality has seven wards. It was formed by merging four former VDCs. The headquarter of this municipality is situated in Panchami.
Same like other rural municipality of Panchthar district, Hilihang is into farming for livelihood. Being a remote location gaunpalika the infrastructure it has is very poor to have a well connectivity to enhance income generation by its production.
The Chairperson and Vice chairperson this rural municipality are Bhuwani prashad Lingden and Sumitra Upreti Shedai respectively.
