The geographical area of Gadhi Rural Municipality is 67.7 sq km. It has a population of 34852 according to census 2011. This rural municipality has six wards. It was formed by merging four former VDCs. The headquarter of this municipality is situated in Aurabarni.
This rural municipality in Tarai region has fertile agricultural land so people here are involved in farming mainly. Access to land of poor people is very low so, this has been creating conflicting relation between the haves and have-nots’ in this region. Terai is known for ‘Food Storage’ of Nepal so the importance of land is very high considering the food security of whole nation.
The Chairperson and Vice chairperson this rural municipality are Shree Prashad Yadav and Rajkumari Chaudhari respectively.
