Gadhawa rural municipality is located in the eastern part of the Dang district. VDCs such as Gadhawa, Koilabash, Gangaparspur and Gobardiha, were combined in Gadhawa rural municipality. The Rural municipality has total area of 358.56 square kilometers and is divided into 8 wards. Arghakhachi and Kapilbastu district lies in the east of Gadhawa rural municipality. Similarly, this rural municipality is surrounded by Rajpur rural municipality in the west, Lamahi municipality and Rapti rural municipality in the north and India in the south.
