Dogdeledar Rural Municipality is situated at north-west part of Baitadi district, Sudur Paschim province. it was established in 2073 B.S. by combining then Rim, Kataujapani, Sittad, Shreekot, Shreekedar, Dasharath Chand, Nwali and Deulekh Village Development Committees. It has been categorized into eight wards. It lies in mountain area. It is surrounded by Puchoudi Municipality at east, Dasharath Municipality at west, Dilasaini Rural Municipality and Darchula district at north and Sunarya Rural Municipality at south. it is named after two local Hindu gods Dogad and Kedar.
Total area covered by this Rural Municipality is 126.38 kilometer square. Most of the area is covered by forest, grass and bush. According to the census 2011, total population of this Rural Municipality is 24,632 with 4559 households. Total population of female is 13,412 and male is 11,220. Ward number six is most populated ward followed by ward number one and three. Baitadeli is the most speaking language of this area. There are about ten ethnic groups residing in this Rural Municipality and among them Chhetri dominates by 44% followed by Brahmin 27% and Dalit 24%. Mahakali highway connects this Rural Municipality so 4 wards are connected by pitch road highway. There are 62 educational institutions. Mr. Chandra Bahadur Karki is Chairperson and Ms. Parbati Airi Karki is Vice-chairperson of this Rural Municipality. Center of this Rural Municipality is Deulek village ward number 7. Total number of elected local representatives is 42.
