Darma rural municipality is located in the northern part of the Salyan district. In 2073 BS, adjoining areas of Darmakot, Bhalchaur and Dhakadam, were combined in Darma rural municipality. The Rural municipality has total area of 81.45 square Kilometers and is divided into 6 wards. Rukum (west) district and Baghchaur municipality lies in the east of Darma rural municipality. Similarly, this rural municipality is surrounded by Kumakh rural municipality in the west, Rukum district (west) in the north and Baghchaur municipality in the south. The geography of this rural municipality is steep slopes with high mountain and cold weather.
