Dangisaran rural municipality is located in the western part of the Dang district. VDCs such as Hekuli, Goltakuri and shreegaun, were combined in Dangisaran rural municipality. The Rural municipality has total area of 110.7 square kilometers and is divided into 7 wards. Tulsipur Sub-Metropolitian city lies in the east of Dangisaran rural municipality. Similarly, this rural municipality is surrounded by Babai rural municipality in the west, Shantinagar rural municipality in the north and Banke district in the south. The geography of this rural municipality includes plan fertile land. Dangisaran rural municipality has the total population of the municipality is 21484 consisting male population 9983 and female population of 11501 according to the National Population census of Nepal 2011. There are 4455 households in Dangisaran rural municipality.

Tharu ethnic groups are in majority in this rural municipality followed by Chhetri, Brahaman, Dalit, Muslim etc. Dashain, Tihar, Janaipurnima, Chandi Purnima, Buddhajayanti, Maghesarankti, Holi, Eid, Chhatha etc festivals. Awadhi, Tharu, Nepali are the most spoken languages of this rural municipality. Paddy, Wheat, Corn, Mustard, Grain and various cash crops also harvest in this rural municipality. People of this rural municipality also engaged in livestock business also and some are in abroad for foreign employment also.

Mr. Bhigiram Chaudhari and Mrs. Pima Kumari Khadka are the chairman and vice chairman of the Dangisaran rural municipality. The rural municipality office is situated in Hekuli, Dang.
