Barhadashi Rural Municipality lies in southern side of Jhapa district under Province No. 1. With an area of 80.04 square kilometers, this Gaunpalika has the total population of 39,622 as of Census of Nepal 2011.
Three former VDCs, Rajgadh, Chakchaki and Dangibari were merged to form this Gaunpalika. It has 7 wards and and the headquarters of this new rural municipality is Chakchaki.
This Gaunpalika is linked with Kachankawal Gaunpalika towards the east and Jhapa Gaunpalika towards the west. Similarly, it shares northern border with Haldiwari Gaunpalika and Birtamod and Kankai Gaunpalika in the south.
This Gaunpalika elevates from 77 meter to 123 meter from the sea level.
The people living within this Gaunpalika represent diverse ethnicity and religious groups. While majorities of the population are into agriculture, some are also engaged in business for their livelihood.
There are 16 community and 13 institutional schools in this Gaunpalika. Similarly, it also has 5 health posts.
Khadga Prashad Rajbanshi is the Chairman of this Gaunpalika and the name of the Vice-Chairperson is Ratna Rajbanshi.
