Bareng Rural Municipality is situated at mid-south part of Baglung district, Gandaki province. This Rural Municipality was established in 2073 B.S. It combines then Dhullu Banskot, Hugdishir, Salyan, Bataka Chaur and Sukhaura Village Development Committees. This Rural Municipality is surrounded by Jaimini Municipality from east, Galkot Municipality from west and north and Gulmi district from south.
