Bardgoriya Rural Municipality is located at Kailali district of Sudur Pashim province, Nepal. It is situated at 72 kilometer east to province headquarter Dhangadhi. This Rural Municipality is surrounded by Mohanyaal Rural Municipality at north, Joshipur Rural Municipality at south, Ghodaghodi Municipality at west and Lumki Chuha Municipality at east. This Rural Municipality was established on 2073 BS. All the wards except ward no. 2 are located at terai region with plain land and ward no. 2 is located at mountain region with south face slope land.
Bardgoriya Rural Municipality was formed by combining then Didodhara and Kota Tulashipur Village Development Committees. It was named by Bardgoriya wetland area located at north of this Rural Municipality. This local level unit has been divided into six wards. Its total area is 77.26 kilometer square. 32,683 is the total population of this Rural Municipality as per the census of 2011.
Agriculture, animal husbandry, trade, service and foreign employment are the major occupations of people here. As two rivers Kaandha and Kuira rivers flow from different wards of this Rural Municipality, sand collection and sales is also one of the occupations. Similarly flood problem is one of the major problems here. Majority of land is occupied by jungle followed by agricultural purpose land and residence.
Baliram Dangaula Tharu is Chairperson and Ms. Bhagwati Devi Dagaura Tharu is Vice chairperson of this Rural Municipality. Center of this Rural Municipality is Muda Bazar.
