Ayirabati rural municipality is located in the east-south part of the Pyuthan district. Existing VDCs such as Dangbang, Baraula Pakala, Bijuli, Dhuwang and Raspurkot, were combined in Ayirabati rural municipality. The Rural municipality has total area of 156.75 square kilometers and is divided into 6 wards. Arghakhachi district lies in the east of Ayirabati rural municipality. Similarly, this rural municipality is surrounded by Sarumarani and Mandabi rural municipality in the west, Mallarani and Mandabi rural municipality in the north and Sarumarani rural municipality and Arghakhachi district in the south. Ayirabati rural municipality has the total population of the municipality is 22392 consisting male population 9665 and female population of 12727 according to the National Population Census of Nepal 2011. There are 4650 households in Ayirabati rural municipality.
The name of this rural municipality is based on the religious place in the joined place of two river named Madi River &Jhimruk River. This rural municipality lies 39 Km east south from the district headquarter. Chhetri, Brahaman, Gandarva, Thakuri, Badi, Magar, Gurung, Raut, Kumal reside in this rural municipality. Arawati, Bijulikot, Jabunedaha, Aalamdevi, Palukathan, Kafalbuta, Lipikotetc are the famous religious places of this rural municipality. Dashain, Tihar, Janaipurnima, Chandi Purnima, Buddhajayanti, Maghesarankti, festivals. Nepali & Magar language is most spoken languages of this rural municipality. Panchebaja, Sorathi, Kaura, Sarangi Naach, Mayur Naach, Jhyaure, Balan, Chudkaetc are the cultural programs of this rural municipality. Paddy, Wheat, Corn, Mustard, Grain and various cash crops also harvest in this rural municipality. And people of this rural municipality also engaged in livestock business also and some are in abroad for foreign employment also.
Mr. Nabil Bikram Saha and Mr. Buddha Bahadur Basnet are the chairman and vice chairman of the Ayirabati rural municipality. The rural municipality office is situated in Baraula, Pyuthan.
