Adanchuli rural municipality is situated in the east-south part of the Humla district. VDCs such as Shreenagar and Kalika, were combined in Adanchuli rural municipality. The Rural municipality has total area of 150.61 square Kilometers and is divided into 6 wards. Mugu district lies in the east of Adanchuli rural municipality. Similarly, this rural municipality is surrounded by Tanjakot rural municipality in the west, Sarkegad rural municipality in the north and Tanjakot rural municipality in the south. The geography of this rural municipality is steep and high mountain with cold weather. Adanchuli rural municipality has the total population of the municipality is 7116 consisting male population 3543 and female population of 3573 as of Census of Nepal 2011. There are 1121 households in Adanchuli rural municipality.

This rural municipality is situated in the southern part of Humla district. Rawal, Pyakural, Phaderaetc tribe people resides in this rural municipality. The main source of income of this rural municipality is tourism, government/private job & foreign employment.

Mr. Dal Phadera and Mrs. Saumati Rawal are the chairman and vice chairman of the Adanchuli rural municipality. The rural municipality office is situated in Shreenagar, Humla.
